Right from the very start, Fiandre was strongly motivated towards its connotation as an innovative company, with high technological content and forward-looking vision. It was the first of the companies in the industry to believe in porcelain tile and in a 20×20 cm format, which was considered remarkable in the 1960s. It continued with undeniable success along a path marked by victory, consolidating its business in all the markets acquired over the years, creating a widespread network of showrooms which became leading-edge examples for the world of architecture. A key account sector was developed, enabling the company to communicate and grow in the presence of Italian leaders such as Ferrari, Fendi, Fiat and Armani, and to introduce Italian tradition to foreign giants like Dior, Jaguar, Givenchy and Nike.
Its commitment originated from 50 years’ history, during which quality, skill and innovation went hand in hand, bringing the company into a predominant market position.
Its constant attention to environmental issues is the social commitment that distinguishes Fiandre in its goal, thanks to detailed and constant research, in order to design and create excellent products using purer raw materials, the same that give life to quarry materials like marble, granite and ancient stone, inspirations of Fiandre’s leading-edge collections. The pureness of the raw materials, along with the most advanced technology and continuous study of the aesthetic trends and advanced design, is a guarantee of long-lasting results.

About maximum
-
Maximum is the GREATEST format available on the porcelain stoneware market, WITHOUT ADDEDagglomerates, a product that comes from carefully selected raw materials. In the 300x150x0.6 cm format, Maximum only weighs 14 kg/m2. Maximum combines maximum design freedom with great flexibility. On one hand the maxi-slab dramatically reduces the number of interruptions in the design unit and, on the other hand, the wide range of submultiples offered guarantees great versatility for all requirements. Maximum also cares for the environment: the reduced thickness (6 mm) allow 2 to 3 times less raw material to be used compared to quarry materials, as well as lower energy consumption during production.
Certification
The manufacturing process takes place with a minimal environmental impact and basically generates no by-products. Fiandre once again exhibits its leadership also with the complete certification of the environmental, manufacturing and commercial cycles.
SYSTEM CERTIFICATIONS
The EU EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme) is a voluntary instrument in which businesses and organisations can participate. Our Company has decided to do so in order to pursue and make visible the continuous improvement of our environmental performance, which is made available to the public through the environmental statement.
ISO 50001 – Energy Management Systems certification: an international standard that enables continual improvement of energy performance through the implementation of an energy management system, thus permitting a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions as well as related energy costs.
ISO 9001 certification: for corporate Quality system management. The certification, valid at an international level, concerns corporate management in its entirety, from research and development to production, and from distribution to customer support. This system certifies that the Company has implemented an internal quality management system.
ISO 14001 certification: this is an Environmental Management System, which demonstrates the validity of the measures adopted by the Company to protect the internal and external environment. Through this certification, our company confirms its commitment to ensuring observance of laws concerning the environment and to managing, preserving and, where possible, reducing the use of natural resources, minimising pollution.
OHSAS 18001 certification: an acronym for Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series. This is an international standard directed towards risk assessment through an occupational health and safety management system, permitting organisations to continuously improve their observance of legal requirements.
PRODUCT CERTIFICATIONS
GREENGUARD Certification ensures that products intended for indoor use are characterised by practically non-existent emissions of volatile substances, contributing to the creation of healthier environments. GREENGUARD Gold Certification considers safety factors to account for sensitive individuals (such as children and the elderly), and ensures that a product is acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities. This certification is widely recognised and accepted by sustainable building programmes and housing regulations worldwide. In the United States, it is referenced by The Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building rating systems.
EPD (Environmental Product Declaration): a voluntary type III product declaration, based on analysis of the product life cycle (with a “from cradle to gate” approach) in accordance with the EN 15804 standard. This declaration is drawn up with reference to the guidelines of the UNI EN ISO 14040 standard and the specific PCR (Product Category Rules). This document describes the environmental impact linked to the production of a specific quantity of product in its various stages, from extraction of the raw material and transport to the production phase proper. Our Company was the first to certify its products in 6 mm and 10 mm (see www.environdec.com) with specific EPDs, validated by an independent third-party Body.
LEED Certification: already widespread and active in more than 40 countries, the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification system assesses and attests to the environmental, social and economic sustainability of buildings considered as a whole. According to the LEED classification criteria, highly environmentally sustainable construction materials contribute to achieving credits and increasing the points for the building. All the slabs presented in this instrument are certified to contain percentage of recycled material higher than 40% in accordance with the ISO 14021 standard, thus guaranteeing the highest points according to the LEED system.
