Determining proportions, clear contours, precise lines, and pure surfaces are characteristics of Lamborghini’s design in its very essence. This DNA inspires Lamborghini to create icons that are always different and increasingly innovative in terms of research and aesthetic language, yet all unmistakably Lamborghini.
The design process passes several times from the drawing to the physical model, the sketches become 3d renderings, scale models, and then return to virtual reality to achieve absolute perfection.

Revolutionary Technology

Design, research and post-production are Made in Italy, while the production plant is located in L’Alcora, Spain, in the most famous European district for stone processing. Today IDYLIUM is a company with a plant of over 40,000 m2, able to produce up to 2 mln of surface area per year and an international team of over 200 people who collaborate in the worldwide commercial expansion of the company and the management of operations along the Italian-Spanish axis.

IDYLIUM is a case history. 95% of the company’s production machines are brand new and run exclusively at its Spanish plant. In particular, the real exclusives are: the whole tower and the back-press technology – along with its continuous veining kit -, the press able to generate a pressure of 500 kg per cm2, the glazing and decoration, the double-level kiln with temperature peaks up to 1250°C, the fully automated logistic system with a management concept developed exclusively for IDYLIUM and a totally new process automation, never implemented before.

IDYLIUM was born in Milan, the Italian capital of design and the top hub for Made in Italy excellence, the New Economy, and the main international stakeholders and ultimate market trends. IDYLIUM Headquarters and the showroom that will be soon opening, both overlook the Duomo, right in the city center. There are also the Spanish showroom, inside the Castellòn building, and the many others coming soon in Spain, Italy, England, America and China.

Idylium is the latest hyper material produced using advanced technologies, with unrivaled superior properties and aesthetic effects for customized and ambitious projects. Motivated by high values that drives our professionalism every day, we create eco-friendly and recyclable surfaces, respecting the environment and the wellbeing of all.
HOW THE MINERAL STONE IDYLIUM IS CREATED
1. RAW MATERIALS – Oxides of natural origin, clays and feldspars in pulverized form. 24% is recycled waste material. No added resins, no chemical additives.
2. Press – Mechanical pressure of 35,000 tons. It recreates the natural process of stone formation without any chemical binders. The waste material is 100% recycled.
3. DRYER – Maximum temperature of 150°C. Gas-fired and with recovery of thermal energy from the OVEN (5).
4. DIGITAL PRINTING – Advanced technologies that eliminate waste. Hydraulic power generator reduces energy consumption by up to 30%. Water used for washing is 100% recycled.
5. KILN – Maximum temperature 1250°C. The pre-kiln is fed by recovery gas. The cooling operation does not use thermal energy.
6. FILTERS – They purify gaseous waste from acid gases (sulfur, chlorine and fluorine) avoiding their release into the atmosphere.
7. DISCARDS – 100% of raw waste (fragments and powders) is recovered and reused, both in the process and externally.
8. PACKAGES – Reusable metal stands for a high number of shipments. Zero km supplies within the ceramic district of Castellon.

Our production process is the only one able to combine 4 different technologies in order to offer a complete, innovative and versatile range of products. Above all, the veining and the high reliefs. We create veining that crosses the core of in its entirety, providing countertops and furnishings with an unrivaled sensation of realism and we cover walls and floors, providing visual and tactile depth, be it an arabesque texture or an embossed fabric. We are innovative sculptors, we are able to revive the splendor of the most valuable marbles and the perfection of the most sophisticated tapestries without losing sight of material innovation, rather we enhance their technical properties. We unleash these passionate skills in the most natural way: extremely large slabs that find their maximum expression in total look environments where ideas and personalities are affirmed

Characteristics

When it preserves all-natural and physical qualities of the stone, it is born from the same geomorphic process, with the same molecular composition. But it is free from any imperfections, defects, dimensional differences, and impurities. A real, yet designed stone, made to explore the creative and architectural possibilities of an archetypal material, overcoming the physical and chemical limits of natural stone. Mineral stone (also known as sintered stone) can be produced in large slabs, over 3 meters long, flawless in every respect.

100% NATURAL

IDYLIUM slabs are safe because natural (100% biodegradable oxides, clays and feldspars) and hygienic because hyper-technological: ultra-compact, inert and free of any porosity that could host fungi and bacteria.

The IDYLIUM factory is a 4.0 quarry, where technology reproduces millenary geomorphic processes in a few minutes. In this way we avoid the deleterious extractive activities typical of natural stones (marble, onyx and quartzites).

NON-POROUS AND HYGIENIC

In the microscopic dimension can hide a great risk for health. IDYLIUM surfaces can be easily and effectively cleaned and sanitized because they are ultra-compact, free of porosity, resistant to chemical agents and thermal shock. They are also free from heavy metals and chemical additives and therefore totally inert.

SCRATCHPROOF

IDYLIUM is hyper-materia: provided with all the beauty offered to stones by nature but with superior performance brought by technology. Once laid, nothing can damage it. Resistant to UV rays and scratches, it eliminates the worry of sun damage and deterioration. Domestic spaces can be reinvented: kitchen countertops get rid of all the complements and you can cut and beat directly on them.

FROST-RESISTANT

IDYLIUM surfaces do not fear temperature variations and resist intense cold and frost, even in direct contact with running and brackish water. IDYLIUM slabs are ideal for outdoor design: furnishing, terraces, floorings, pools and ventilated facades. A new form of beauty combined with environmental sustainability.

HEAT-RESISTANT AND FIREPROOF

Even fire has no effect on IDYLIUM surfaces. Thanks to their absolute heat resistance they can be used directly as cooking hobs, with integrated burners, and in the construction of fireplaces and bio-fireplaces. Composed of inert materials and therefore fireproof, IDYLIUM slabs are a safe choice for public spaces and contract.

ECOLOGY, ENVIRONMENT AND TERRITORY

LOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

The IDYLIUM factory is in Castellón, in the largest district in Europe for the processing of stone by-products. Suppliers and materials are zero-km, tracked and guaranteed with regard to safety and recycled content.

IDYLIUM: 4.0 QUARRY

Synthetic stone is a choice to safeguard the delicate ecosystems from which natural stones such as marble, onyx and quartzite are extracted. IDYLIUM is a 4.0 quarry, where the sintered stone is created as in the mountain, according to natural processes, very complex to reproduce industrially.

WATER

All wastewater from the plant’s production cycle is returned to the process and 100% reused. IDYLIUM’s water management is a closed loop. Thanks to patented technologies with innovative hydraulic power generators, energy consumption is reduced by up to 30%.

WASTE

100% of raw waste (fragments and powders) is recovered and reused, both internally and externally. IDYLIUM starts from partly-recycled raw material: it thus also recovers waste produced by third parties. A filter in the furnace purifies the gaseous waste from acid gases (sulfur, chlorine and fluorine).

DISPOSAL

In Bio construction and for BIM, attention to the full life cycle of the architectural product is critical. At the end of its long life, IDYLIUM Mineral Stone can be disposed of as an inert product which, on the waste risk scale, is the lowest level, easiest to manage and least costly.
